"Run! Jump!" by MrOtton

Postby MrOtton » Tue Mar 26, 2013 11:42 am

Edit:

The game is released: Play here!

__________________________________________
Hey guys!
So this is my first game called "Run! Jump!". It's a Jump'nRun/Simple Parkour game with 2 gamemodes: "Classic" and "Dropzone".

Image

_________________________________________

Description

In "Classic", your goal is to run to the exit as fast as possible and be the fastest on the leaderboards.
In "Dropzone", your goal is to catch a case that falls from the sky at a Position you define at the start of each round. If you catch the case your acceleration and maximum speed is lowered because of the case's weight. So you have to decide between the safe, but slow way or for the risky, but fast way.

Here is a Speedrun of the first 3 levels and the second Dropzone level:

Currently I'm working on a tutorial for "Dropzone" and more levels for both gamemodes.

Hope you like it :)

If you have any demos you should definitely post em. Also I love the menu look.

You should have a button that says "Next level" after you finish a level, saves time.

That's a nice idea, I'll maybe do that later, since I'm not sure how to implement the leaderboards (design)

On the last normal level if you time the beginning jumps right you jump jump and then slide right at the landing of the final jump. That feels great so I would experiment with that kind of level spacing more.

I am loving the game, especially the dropbox levels( 1st on all of them except for the tutorial level) but I found a two bugs(not sure if it is just for me),after you finish a level you go back to the level selection menu, but you are not able to start a new level or go back you are only able to press on the leaderboard button, you have to refresh the game to fix it, but it will happen again after the next level and the other bug is if you open the press on the leaderboard button (before or after a level) you are not able to go back, you fix this by refreshing the page to, just wanted to let you know ;)
