Simply put, this is a motivational technique in which you spend 25 minutes working and then take a 5 minute break. This is called a Pomodoro. You can then complete multiple Pomodoros to achieve a large task.

I've benefited from this method greatly and have written over 40,000 words of a book I'm working on. Most days I only feel like doing 25 minutes, but end up carrying on anyway. My productivity has increased significantly. I use this in conjunction with check lists to keep my mind active and to allow me to be creative as possible.
I definitely recommend at least giving this a try. You might find that it works and really helps you focus on your workload.
