Re: [Custom Map] Blocside

I really like how the map looks- you did a great job choosing/making textures and models, and I love the little details like the fire in the fireplace and the reflective "water" in the bathtub. I haven't actually gotten to play in the map, but here's some suggestions from just peeking arou...

Re: The Map Maker Wish List

I mentioned this in chat, but I'll just put it here for the record. I would love it if pickups were expanded with more options. It would be nice if there were pickups for all equipment, and it would be amazing if there were also ammo pickups that you could choose what type and how much ammo they wou...

Re: The Map Maker Wish List

I really like the new activators, but they made me think of something else that we could use in MM. It would be extremely handy if we could store integer variables somehow, and then let activators add to or subtract from them. That would make it a whole lot easier to do something like Cliffside obje...

Re: [Custom Map] Hexagoner

Gotta say, I really like the map! When I first saw it, I thought it would need a whole lot more cover, but the sharp bends keep the direct sight lines short while the windows keep things from getting stale. That being said, I still think something needs to be added to the main level to make sure fir...

Re: Intruder Map Maker official thread!

There also need to be a troubleshooting thread. For instance when i export maps. intruder cant find the file, neither can i if i look in the folder, but the strange this is everytime i export and save. the files are there. You should try hopping into the IRC, there's usually someone there who can h...

Re: [Custom Map] Security Fault

Version 7 is up, and version 8 should be up soon! The biggest change is adding more cover to the street, which should help Intruders defend against guards rushing from the car (or at least make the resulting firefights more interesting =P). I've also added the fences along most of the roof, which sh...

Re: [Custom Map] Security Fault

I want update I want Unity 5 Intruder. Trade? =P But seriously, although I will need to wait to do more complicated updates, I do have some cover to add and change that should help the Intruders, or at least make firefights more interesting. Since it wouldn't *need* testing, I might try to find som...

Re: Intruder Map Maker official thread!

(Changelog is here ) Along with the new rankings for custom maps, what I'm most excited about is the improved activators. Now we can recreate Cliffside, but we can do a whole lot more than that. Silly modes like races, maps where the guards have a series of objectives (while the intruders are trying...

Re: [WIP] Bank Robbery map

I'm not sure what extension is best, since I don't use sketchup right now, but you can add the collision mesh if you select it in Unity and go to "Add Component->Physics->Mesh Collider". Also, I'd suggest not making the furniture in the same model as the building. Make them separately (or ...

Re: Custom map, help?

I think player models are normal height, so around 1.7 meters. Yes, you can make custom models for doors- I haven't done any, but you can look at the Demo level to see an example (it comes with Intruder MM, so you can open it up in Unity and see exactly how they work). I believe the doors are the pl...

Re: Custom map, help?

Yeah, I'd agree about being careful resizing doors. I just took some measurements, and it looks like doors are .89 meters wide, and about 2.15 meters tall, so you can probably use that to get doors the right size in sketchup. Also, if you need to scale something easily in Unity, you can press R when...

Re: [Custom Map] Security Fault

Thanks for the thumbs up! I just released V2, which added lots of new cover to the roof and should also slow down the first 5 seconds of the game a bit. Have fun!

Re: The Map Maker Wish List

Not just descriptions for maps, but some sort of rating/most-downloads sorting for the map list. Want new players to see oceanside and such before some random work in progress or joke map. (i'd vote for download count over ratings, too soon for that kinda judgy thing) I mentioned this to Rob, but I...

[Custom Map] Security Fault

Description Security Fault is set around an office building in a city recently wracked by an earthquake. It features close quarter action but plenty of approaches to the briefcases, a zipline across a street, a working metal detector, and a daring ragdoll jump across an alley! The briefcases are in...

Re: The Map Maker Wish List

What do you know, a few more ⋅ Security cameras and monitors (like Riverside) ⋅ Mirrors ⋅ More than 2 briefcases (see BankHeist) ⋅ Computers to hack (see Cliffside) ⋅ Add a "Team X wins" feature in activators, to let us have our own win con...

Re: [Custom Map] Greenscreen

To fix the bullet holes and blood splatters, you could make another green box an inch in front of the wall & floor and make it a "Trigger" so that nothing collides with it. If it's close enough, rebounds & impacts would still look realistic (without anything getting cut out), but s...

Re: The Map Maker Wish List

A few more things to add:
  • Let objects entering a zone trigger it, not just players (think of the purple zone in the demo and the spheres in moonbase)
  • Actual offline testing
  • Limit on how far a door can open

The Map Maker Wish List

Post any features you want in future versions of the Intruder MapMaker!

To start us off, I think it would be great to be able to move the water level during a match. Also, being able to write our own scripts to change gameplay is another fun idea for the distant future.

Rivers - Level Set

Have you ever felt like Project Stormos was had 1 worlds too few? Well, you don't have to feel that way anymore (well, you won't once I finish the whole set (well, I should probably stop using well (well, and these nested parentheses as well (well, it's probably time to stop now)))). In honor of Int...
